Gopro or Alternative for Videoing Machines?

Need to video machines at work. Is Gopro still the best option for this? I figure suction cups to attach them to the glass and maybe a tripod?

GoPros tend to have a problem where they lock up and start working. They've used the same processor forever, and it just pukes. When they work, they're brilliant.
