Did multiple WCing rigs in the single core XP days. Stopped when I went dual and quad cores, don't know if I'll ever do another one.

If it makes you feel any better, my office attire is jeans, untucked collared shirt, and loafers. Picture makes me look much more respectable from the chest up. :)

Did you have to move to California?

I will have to relocate eventually. CA, OR, or AZ as it stands currently. Sitting on a plane heading to Santa Clara now.

At least AZ has lax gun laws. Never checked on OR.

It's certainly better than in California. (y)

Kyle, parts of Arizona can be quite habitable for most of the year. My wife and I moved to Yuma to be with her mother because of her mom's medical issues and it's tolerable for four months of the year and at the doorstep of hell for the other eight...

AZ will be closer to TX overall, and Oregon outside of Portland isn't that far off either. You don't want to do CA in any form.

Well how about you man up and contribute some news yourself? If everyone pitches in it would be as if nothing has changed in the number of news.

All of the Intel offices in Oregon are in the suburbs of Portland, though. Too close for comfort for me. I'd definitely be shooting for AZ.

Yeah, that would give me pause. At least with OR it doesn't take long to get out of town.

That would be great except most people are probably like me and got all of their news from here. Its hard to contribute when you don't know where to look to get the news in the first place.

I know it’s futile to hit my link to HardOCP but I still do out of habit. Over 15 years of hitting that link is a hard habit to break.

I'm from Arizona and lived there a few years. It beats California, that's for sure.

I am super sad to see it go, been around since hardocp did the hardware workshop at quakecon (ps it was way better than pc perspective's workshop); been to both of the hardocp gaming experiences in dallas; this site helped me with my first overclock (slot a athlon) to 1 ghz using a dip switch connector; and then later amd overclocks using the pencil trick to unlock the multiplier. I always told everyone to goto hardocp and look at the power supply reviews and if it didnt blow up or catch fire it was a decent powersupply. Its almost like losing a close friend; but with that said, kyle and the crew you will all be missed; and i hope nothing but the best for you guys going forward.

why is news like always happens on Apr. 1? I remember Oppo announces bad news on Apr. 1 too

    Does Kyle has to move?

what's the annual cost of running hardforum? in other words, what should we pay to keep it running?

and if there is excess cost, as a last cause of action, we can move to wordpress.com, which is free, regardless of how high the bandwidth turns out to be

what if the new owner starts charging $? As I have experienced something just like this. It's David colton's board on Five STar STories resin kits, he decided not to run the board, and he ask a friend, I think his name is Harold to run. That guy set a new deadline, that he doesn't want the board to run for free, so at that deadline, each member has to pay something like a few hundred to keep it running.

In the end, the board shuts down, noone pays on the deadline day, another member open his new board, and we move there.

I think the transition will be most complete if Kyle "The Controversial" Bennet moves to California. I love the state flag: 4cDa5oOJMpUt_640x360.jpg

I think he said he had some options and not all of them had to be in Kaliforniastan. I think he said Arizona was an option. Outside of the summer, its great. Its much cheaper and has solid gun laws etc.
