Congrats Kyle! Sorry to see Hardocp go, but as they always say, all good things must come to an end. Good luck!

Jazzy think he won but aint no intel hiring him! Too much of a class clown and beats around Nvidia's bush.

It's been said a thousand times already but I'm another one who's been here since the 20th century. I've been through 2 wives, 2 kids, 2 divorces (bitches, lol) and several jobs since the first time I laid eyes on the [H]. It's hard to believe that this place has been a part of my life for almost half of it....and I'm 120 days away from being 50!

I think the first mod I tried from here was making blow holes. I turned my poor case into Swiss cheese...and had fun doing it.

Waxing nostalgic like others have, I remember reading the daily news and seeing Asia Carrera was a fan (so hot back then), doing the pencil trick, even meticulously cutting my fdd & hdd cables so I could shrink wrap them.

I hope that Kyle's family can appreciate everything that he has done here. All the hours of work, the stress and probably a few nights of top ramen weren't for nothing. This site has literally affected and or changed thousands of lives....from friends met, relationships, marriages, job choices, career paths, new products....changing the daily routine of all of us (tens of thousands at minimum), the list goes on and on. The [H] is truly a legacy that will live long after this change and i am proud to have been a part of it.

Hopefully the community sticks around to keep the advice and banter going. And also Brent Justice, Dan and the gang will keep us informed of the crap to steer clear of in the forums.

Best of luck Kyle and maybe I'll get to see you pimping some swag one day soon!

I hope you can see the outpouring of affection and respect for what you have created and delivered over the years. I sincerely wish you the best with your future endeavors but selfishly wish you could find a way to keep the [H] going. There's simply no other site on the intertubes like it. You delivered trusted and impartial reviews. Often defining the standard that all other sites attempted to follow. You were a trail-blazer.

All I can really say is thanks to you and your team. I hope I get to bump into you at a tech convention someday soon.

Well, it's been a couple of weeks, and I'm still typing "hardo" into the address bar... Is this equivalent to physical withdrawals? Is there a treatment center I can go to where every time I start reaching for the H key I want to puke? :p Hehe, looks like my forum label of "[H]ardForum Junkie" is pretty apt.

It's crazy to think that HardOCP is closing down after so many years, I've been posting on the forums since I was 14 (hence the user name...) and reading the site for even longer.

Best of luck to you Kyle and the rest of the team in the future, you've been a big part of why I am so passionate about technology and I don't know I would be where I am today without this place!

I go away for a little while and this is what I see. God damn, what a great run. Good luck to you. I got into water cooling because of [H] back in the day. I still do it. Will miss the articles, but thank goodness the forums will run. I get a lot of info from here.

Thanks for doing what you did. Upwards and onwards.

I did and didn't immediately put two and two together. I came at it from a different angle and realized that i was off base and removed that bit to not look stupid.

Did a little bit of water cooling myself this weekend! Got the son involved and I think I "wet" his appetite. Escpecially since there are two full XSPC water cooling setups on my test bench...."going to waste."

I used hardline (copper) between pump, res and radiator and then soft line to the actual blocks. Put quick disconnects on at the blocks and it becomes really easy to still swap out hardware without having to redo the loop for every change. I think this setup is probably 7 or 8 years old now.

I've gone this route before. I like it. Takes a little extra planning/layout for what needs to get swapped out and moving stuff out of the way. It's going to be a bit before I get the wild hair up my butt to build one or two more 'ultimate' setups, but it will happen in about another year or two. I'm an intel/nvidia combo dude and have been for a long time and I may go AMD on one build and intel/Nvidia on another. I've got the time to decide, but I'll still be coming back here to for tips/tricks/advice and just to keep my finger on the pulse.
