AXDA1800 is this a good overclocking candidate. What are some good low cost alternatives from AMD for overclocking candidates?

AXDA1800DLT3C

Yes that's good. Will get you anywhere between 2.4 - 2.6 GHz.
If get to hand pick...look for 032x as the mfg date.

careful... many of the 1800+ dlt3c's were tbredA's and those wont get you anywhere:D

also, there were some strange a's made late into the 03's so watch out

Yea he's right..the chances of getting a TBred A are slim now...but still a possibility.

yep my duron 1.6 ghz is running at 2.4 ghz on modest aircooling never had a different amd processor up that high and I think it could run faster but I don't have the dividers available for 200 fsb so the agp and pci bus speeds are already way out of whack (its weird to see a duron outperforming a p4 3.2 ghz in sandra :))
