I have been using the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 model for at least 10 years. It's suited me very well for everything: gaming and productivity.

No, I have not used the exact same keyboard for 10 years: I've had about 7 of them now. I simply have not found a keyboard that can do everything as well as the NEK 4000.

Does a gaming keyboard exist that both has a high N-key rollover AND is ergonomic?

What gaming features are you looking for?

That being said here are some ergonomic mechanical keyboards, They both meet n-key rollover spec.

Nothing "gaming" in particular, other than the n-key rollover spec.

Those two examples are a bit "too" ergo for me. I don't mean something too outlandish. I mean, I would even go for a newer version of the NEK 4000...if it existed.

I've tried so many gaming keyboards but I always go back to my MS Natural Ergonomic keyboard... I've gotten so accustomed to it that changing just isn't worth it. Would be nice if they came out with an upgraded version of it.

^ This.

I just went out to Staples and bought ANOTHER NEK 4000. They had it on sale for the same price as Amazon, so I figured why not. Oh boy does it feel so comfortable typing OOTB. Never realized how screwed up my last one was.

If you're willing to put up the cash and wait, take a look at the Keyboardio Model 01 - http://shop.keyboard.io/ - Looks promising. Full RGB backlighting, ergonomic style layout, appears to be well made, cross platform and fully open source software/driver and hardware! Finding ergonomic gaming-focused keyboards aren't easy, but it seems someone else thought it was worth investing in a solution!
