Good board for i7 2600k?

Hey guys. I am looking to spend 200$ or less on a board for the i7 2600k. Is there anything out there in that price range that is good? I am looking to get the cpu to 4.4.

I am going to be using water cooling. Something from the corsair water cooling heatsinks.

What do you guys think?

I have the Asus P8Z68V-Pro and I am very happy with it. In fact it is one of the nicest boards I have owned in 12 years.


I am running at 4.5GHz 24x7 stable

Maximus IV Gene-Z fits the bill. I love mine.

I'd go with the -V pro. Rock solid board and intel lan

I had an Asus P8P67 but moved to an MSI P67a-GD65, the MSI is the superior board in my opinion.

Another +1 for a Gene-Z here, if you're not looking for loads of pcie x 16 slots it's a great board.

So good I got it twice!

EDIT: if you're going to get an Asus board, make sure it's one of their new GEN3 revisions, as they're supposedly good for pcie 3.0: http://event.asus.com/2011/mb/PCIe3_Ready/
