I got my 6800GT in yesterday and I was easily able to run it at 400mhz/1.1ghz. I ran 3dMark 2003 and got 11600 points on the system used in sig.

Is that a good score for my system?

Damn nice score! My 6800nu overclocked, 2700+ and 1GB ram only gets about 8300.

If you can't see sigs here is my system:

Athlon XP 2600+ Mobile @ 2500mhz(1.825v) {12.5x200}
SLK900A with Arctic Silver 5(CPU = 45C idle, 52C load)
ABIT NF7-S v2.0 (d25 BIOS by Merlin)
1GB DDR PC3200 HyperX 2-2-2-11 @ 2.8v (BH-5)
XFX nVidia 6800 GT (400mhz/1.1ghz) FW v61.77
Sound Blaster Audigy 2(Klipsch ProMedia 5.1s)
Antec TruePower 430w
Windows XP Pro SP1

I'm think about taking my core higher but I'm a little worried about damage to the card. If it were to be damaged it would shut off or throttle down before anything bad happens to it right?

I get 11800 on a barton-m 2.5ghz and 6800 gt, so I think you are doing just fine.

Oops I forgot to OC the memory!!!

I am at 410/1.11 and I just got 11988 3dMarks, soooo close to 12k!!!

can you push the card any further?

it'll throttle before anything breaks.

Those of you that posted your scores what video quality settings are you using?
With all default settings (high quality) I scored 11544 with the 61.76's.

Either my computer is really healthy or 3d03 is really really screwed up, I CPU score 782 with:
2500+M@ 2160mhz=216*10 1.525v (bios indicated)
Abit NF7-S official d.25 bios chipset@ 1.6v
Mushkin 2*256mb PC3500 and 1 512mb PC4000@ 2.3.3.11
Latest Nvidia Nforce drivers. MS IDE driver. 61.76
eVGA 6800GT@400/1111 61.76 (coolbits wants to go higher... 428/1150, not until the Arctic comes out)
I can't recall my aperture size, PCI lat. timer@ 64.

Is it high or am I?

I probably can push it higher, but I don't want to push it too much on stock cooling. I'm getting 82C under load now.(running the rthdribl for 5+ mins)

I had quality settings with AA and AF off for 3dmark. HQ usually makes me drop 100pts in 3dMark.

I was a little dissapointed, in UT2k4 I was playing in a 16 player assault match on convoy and there were some hitches that dropped the framerate to red for a fraction of a second and in some intense firefight I drop to the upper 20's. I heard that UT2k4 is CPU intensive so that could be it. My settings were 1280x960 everything maxed no AA 2xAF With 11888 3dMarks on HQ I guess I can blame the game/cpu.

Doom 3 also dropped to 15fps once, but it only ever happened once before the Enpro level during a firefight with some zombie marines. Other than that I have never seen it drop below 30fps in combat. My settings are 1280x1024 2xAF high detail in that game. I modified the "seta image_roundown" to 0 for increased graphics quality.

Edit: I ran 3dMark with hight quality set in the display pannel, I got exactly 11895pts. I noticed that during the fillrate test a black horizontal bar flashed accross the screen for a fraction of a second. I don't know what the hell it was, probably a glitch.

How do I know when my memory speed is clocked too high?

Edit 2: I upped my FSB and lowered my multiplier and I get 12019 makrs with quality(tri ops on), and with high quality I get 11895. But can anyone answer my question above to find when my memory speed is clocked too high? Would rthdribl have wierd artifacts or something? I noticed on the trolls in 3dmark have shadow "spots" on them, like after they tackle each other you can see it on their shoulders but I think its the way the lights reflect off of the polygons.
