I have an Intel D865PERL and I'm looking to jump to 2GB.

Need stability -- Corsair or Crucial 1GB sticks?

Open to other suggestions too. . .NOT OVERCLOCKING

both corsair and crucial are good brands. if youre not overclocking, just get a name brand and youll be fine.

If your not overclocking, just get some good name brand sticks, maybe get some lower latency stuff to squeeze a few % points of performance at stock speeds, but its not much. If you make a living with the machine and downtime is killer, OCZ Titanium offers a premium warrenty and what they call "PowerSwap" to get you a new stick quickly if something dies.

You and I have very different ideas of what a very reasonable price is.

yeah no shit, corsair valueram might be a good choice.

If your not OCing get some valu ram

The higher priced stuff is only needed for OCing

What he posted for a 1GB stick is EXTREMELY GOOD pricing. Look around, 1GB sticks are NOT cheap for the most part, not even the value sticks.

A 1GB stick of Value RAM will run you mabye $10-15 more than 2x512 of Value RAM.
