God of War III Remastered - PS4 1080p60

Agreed. Remasters are awesome for me as I passed on a PS3. Keep em coming I say! :)

Oh and make the PS4 emulate the PS2 so I can stick my old games in it and play them too! :)

Think I'll wait until they're all remastered then get the collection. You know it's coming.

Gow 3 is the last game on my ps3 backlog so it figures they announce a hd remake right when i'm about to play it.

Done with remasters. I never play them. One of my most loved games The Last of Us didn't get a second playthrough and I am having an extremely tough time trying to play Tomb Raider Definitive Edition.

I have no problem with remasters myself so-long as they improve on the graphics of the previous. Listing the game at full retail price is often a no-buy though; FFX HD with X-2 HD packaged at $40 was a pretty good listing.

How many times must Kratos be OP just to lose all of his powers for him to regain it again? If I were him I'd just say ef it and go live a normal life.

Also 49.99 CAD is just laughable, no thanks. These remasters should all be $30 tops IMO.

I recently bought the collection for PS3 and it's in my backlog. So no thanks. If and when they release the entire series remastered and for a reasonable price, then I may consider it.

I wouldn't have a problem paying full price if they actually put a good amount of effort into "remastering" it. Tomb Raider on current gen consoles, for example, was a rip off at full price. The Last of Us, however, was worth it in my opinion (it was actually $50 US, though, not $60).

The Devil May Cry Definitive Edition is worth $40. I never got to play it on PS3, so I got it for PS4 and loving the game currently.

They keep remastering games that aren't that old. Why not remaster Jet Moto, Crash or something? There are so many fantastic 15+ year old games out there. GOW series is still fresh in my mind anyway.

WOW those guy on the PlayStation want Jumping Flash remade I seriously would love to see a Jumping Flash III or something that game was flipping awesome. No indie Steam game has come close to the Vertigo that game gave me not even Drunken Robot pornography.

The GoW remaster involves reusing textures that already exist. They are just running them at higher resolution.

Running a 15 year old game at higher resolution on PS4 would look like garbage. Remastering them would involve re-creating all new textures which would be a much larger undertaking. That's why they won't re-release games like FF VII with better graphics.

The games being remastered on newer consoles at least have decent graphics to begin with.

If it makes them money then they'll do anything. Also Squre Enix already publicly stated why they wouldn't remake FF7 which had nothing to do with re-creating anything. They are well aware that they could redo it from scratch and then some and make a crap ton of money off of it.
The process of recreating textures..etc is far cheaper than creating a new IP and if it has a large enough fanbase then the money is obvious...why do you think they do remasters of games like Another world or Oddworld and the crap ton of other HD remasters and reboots? Plenty of other publishers and developers do it. The people at Sony just ignores the potential of great historic franchises because they are afraid to disenfranchise their younger audience that has little to no clue about those old games.
