• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

I'm trying to add my Gmail address and it says the administrator has blocked my email address, and that hotmail & yahoo cannot be used. It doesn't say anything about Gmail though, is there any reason it keeps being blocked?

Read the Rules

(6) No Web based EMAIL ACCOUNTS (i.e Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc) allowed for forum registration. You must have a valid e-mail account where you can be reached by a forum moderator or administrator. Email accounts must be updated in your account when a change is required.

which also means that you cant change it later after registration to one of these

But i'm using my Gmail.
I'm proud of you. :p Afaik, email blocks aren't retroactive. If you put that email address on your account before they blocked gmail then you are golden. The blocks only apply when you try to enter a new email address. If you wanted to change to a different gmail address then it wouldn't let you.

Exactly right. Some accounts were grandfathered in and won't be required to change until any change is made in the user CP...that is when the system will put the smackdown on you. Gmail was added to the filter due to the amount of abuse we were getting from multiple member registration. If you abuse it, you lose it

He may use Gmail for daily use, but he's not using it as his email here at the [H], which was the initial point of this thread. The original poster's question has been answered.
