glass2k transparency

i've installed glass2k before but i installed again to see if i actually like it or not. it seems to make my programs a bit sluggish. i'm curious if this is common or if i need to look further in my computer for background progs that may be slowing it down.

i have a p4 2.4c @ 3.1 ish, 1 gig dual channel ddr, geforce 4 ti 4200 so my system is pretty damn fast.

i'm also curious if there are any other transparency progs that work better and preferably are free

i just use yz'toolbar and i can middle click any window to make it transparent....yeah your system is fast except for your vid card....might be a problem....it's usually slower though with transparency....

I use PowerMenu, which puts the option on the right-click-taskbar menu. Also gives options for changing program priority on the fly. No lag from transparency, save moving a big window around the screen as fast as I can. True now, true three years ago on an Athlon TBird
