Ok, not sure if it is the mobo, but I know it is a hardware issue.
I thought I had corrupted files from a failed java install, but after re-installing all my drivers I was still getting BSOD's mostly for memory manager. So I decided to just bite the bullet and re-install Windows 7. Well I am still getting BSOD's(don't remember what for) only I am still trying to install win 7. I am at a loss as to what to do next. I felt I was fairly competent at computers until this.
specs:
gigabyte 990fx-ud5 rel 1
amd 4350
win 7 ultimate
16gig corsair memory
corsair ssd c: drive
wd 325 gig hdd d: drive
asus r9 290 directCU vid card
I know I have a bottle neck with the processor it is next for upgrade.
