I have an obsidian 800d case with a gigabyte Z68 motherboard. I have speakers plugged into the back panel. the jacks in the front of the case are connected to the motherboard but when i plug in my headphones i get no results. the mobo has a built in 7.1 Channel Realtek® ALC889 soundcard. my drivers are up to date and im pretty sure everything is connected correctly so im thinking maybe its gotta be my settings. after fooling around with them for a while and searching the internet for suggestions, i have yet to solve my problem. So whats keeping me from using my headphones?

Thanks

Are you sure the cables from the case are installed properly on the motherboard header? If so, I'd say either your mobo header is bad or your case jacks are bad. If I were you'd I'd rather call Corsair customer service than Gigabyte so see what they suggest.

Is this a new build? Did it used to work and now it doesn't or has it never worked?
