Perhaps inadvertently jumping the gun, the Gigabyte X470 AORUS Gaming 7 WIFI has appeared on Amazon today. The X470 Gaming 7 WiFi was originally shown at CES in January. X470 as well as the 2nd generation Ryzen processors have been rumored to launch on April 19th, and this motherboard showing up on Amazon may help confirm that the day is indeed coming soon. While out of stock, the Amazon listing does show the price as $239.99.

Supports New Generation AMD Ryzen Processors Dual Channel Non-ECC Unbuffered DDR4, 4 DIMMs Fast 4 USB 3.1 Gen 2 with USB Type-C and Type-A 2-Way Graphics Support with Dual Armor and Ultra Durable Design Ultra-Fast M.2 with PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA interface Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi MB5 support Dual ALC 1220 with Front & Rear 120dB SNR HD Audio Intel Gigabit LAN Front USB 3.1 Ports with Adjustable Voltage RGB FUSION with Multi-Zone LED Light Show design LED Smart Fan GIGABYTE UEFI Dual BIOS. ATX Form Factor; 30.5cm x 24.4cm.

Looks like the listing has already been pulled from Amazon. Getting a "page not found" and searches for X470 yield no motherboard results ATM.

So.... other than maybe some more PCIe lanes and MAYBE faster memory support... what's the big deal over x370? I guess we don't know since they aren't out yet, just wondering aloud

Remember that infinity fabric is directly linked to memory speed, so higher memory speeds is a free and not insignificant speed boost, without core clock changing.

won't know til the legit information is released, right now they just have the generic description which was exactly the same as the x370 board with a few words changed..

Asrock Ftw!

prices yes, customer support/communication they're even worse than ECS.. i gave them a chance and they failed miserably so i'll probably be moving to gigabyte with the x470.

Amazon pulled the X470 listings from their website now. I cannot find them anymore.

Yea, I'm not a fan of their motherboards. They're cheap for a reason. I remember buying a motherboard with the name 970 in it, but came with the 770 chipset. Course I'm too lazy to check the specs for the 970 chipset, but the name implied it had a 970.

any company when given more cash , they improve, i have no problem biting the bullet for the time being, i mean i have far more frustrating and annoying problems with microsoft windows 10, and yet i live with it.
so if not just for supporting Asrock, i would do it out of spite for the GPP whor...ahem escort
when buying a product nowdays, including the company's overall politic in the choice of the product becomes more and more important, your wallet is the only voice you have, if ppl are not willing to make even the smallest of compromises to avoid getting shafted by far worse things down the road, well thats just too bad.

My current mobo, asrock z77 mitx has been running flawlessly for 6 years or so. OC and everything.

But lets hope i get the same experience with the next one.

Well at some point products change in quality. Remember Abit motherboards? Yea their 440BX motherboards were shit. I think I had the ABIT BE6 II and that came with a IRQ conflict by default, and the BE6 was better in that it didn't have a IRQ conflict, but was still shit. Something about the highpoint ATA66 controller being a total piece of shit. But then the ABIT NF7-S was released and everyone loved the shit out of it. I bought it and it lasted for 10+ years until my power supply blew up and took it out.

ASRock boards for me have a history of deceit. Like I said, I still have the ASRock 970DES/U3S3 running on my crap computer I leave for my nieces and nephews to play with. But you would think with a name like that, it has a 970 chipset. It has the 770 chipset, which is fucked up marketing. I also still have the ASRock 770iCafe which I have laying around somewhere. It still works, but years ago when I bought my FX 8350 the motherboard claimed to be able to use it. Which it could, until the CPU was under load and the VRM's would shut down due to getting hot. Now I have a Gigabyte board with a proper 970 chipset, and has been running with that CPU ever since to this day.

Gigabyte boards have better build quality but shit BIOS support. Though there was that fiasco with Gigabyte where they put shit VRM quality on their FX motherboards. ASRock tends to have better BIOS support, but shit build quality, or at least deceitful build quality. Like I said, the motherboards still work to this day but they claim to do more than they were built for. Asus is a hit or a miss for me, though interestingly they do have consistently more support for ECC memory on their boards. But I've had way too many Asus boards fail on me, and their warranty is a pain to deal with.

Now that I think about it, I don't like any motherboard maker. Seems like when I buy a motherboard I have to choose what is the least worst.

Damn, you are cursed! (Like they say on movies :))

I remember Abit and how legendary they were and the one i had served me well.

Now that I think about it, i think i only had a bad mobo once, a MSI and it was replaced by another one like it and it worked great after.
