Hate is such a big word, Massive...
Anyway, the cheapy UD2 won't work as proper Crossfire as the second port is x4-wired. If you check the board preview at Anandtech:
GA-P55M-UD2 it's going to be hard to beat as far as performance/value is concerned (provided you're not interested in multiple graphics cards configurations...).

Personally, the only thing I dislike about Gigabyte is the fact that they completely ignored the performance mATX crowd the past couple of years (The G33M-DS2R was an exception - a great board by the way).
