I just want to know. Is there any successful users of such weirdo combination? Looking forward to hearing from you, guys.

Its possible, the real problem is getting Windows 7 onto an NVMe SSD. Its not super hard to do but can be irritating. I ran Windows 7 on an NVMe drive on my Z170 setup and plan to do the same with my CHVI this weekend, takes a few hours and you have to have a SATA DVD drive to do it the easiest way.

Thanks for reply, I have already installed Windows 7, but I suffer from random reboots and bsods. My nvme is Plextor PX-512m8pey. I asked Plex support about compatibility with Win7, of course they begin to mumble about obsoleteness of Seven.

Maybe I should try Samsung nvme or
give away and switch to generic sata3 ssd, or maybe even raid0 of two ssds and forget about it.

your thoughts about this scenario?
