Going to grab this Motherboard and wondering once I get it and put it in, I have an AMD FX4100 as well. Once I put the processor in will it work right away or do I somehow need to update the bios instantly ? Any thoughts please.

Check the gigabyte site for cpu support, bios version for FX4100 and the bios version currently on the motherboard based on the version. I believe the latest bios version is F7 that came out recently. Its super easy to do bios update on this board. Love it!

Thanks will do. I am happy to have ordered this as I got tired of BioStar tech support cause my old board wont post and did all there steps and ended up having to rma for refund. BioStar TA990FXE.

FX-4100 supported since BIOS rev F3. It's been a nice board to me. Hope it works well for you too!
