Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 and cpu cooling

This should probably belong in the cpu cooling section of the forums, but I wanted to ask this question here in this motherboard forum in case anyone out there with the same motherboard as me is running an upgraded cpu cooler.

If you have this AM3 motherboard, then you already know that the ram slots along with the heatsink for what looks like a chipset are extremely close to the cpu socket. I am basically looking for an upgraded cpu cooler that would fit and still allow me to use all 4 of my ram slots which are all in use right now to give me a total of 8gb of memory. If there is anyone out there who has upgraded coolers with this motherboard, i'd love to know what you got.

It's what I use, and while I'm not at home to check I don't recall any of the slots blocked and I think I am using the ones near the cpu.

Sorry I didn't reply yesterday, but yes, the fan hangs over the slots but they are all easily accessible

I have the DDR2 version of that board (790X-UD4P) and I'm using the Xigmatek S1283...

I had to switch from OCZ Reaper to Mushkin 1066 because of height but the Mushkin fits under the 1283 just fine...

One thing to note, this cooler exhausts to the top of the case. I have it in an Antec 300 so it's not a problem for me but that might be a possible issue for you.
