Gigabyte G45 Build Woes

Just put together my G45 HTPC... the computer hard locks a few moments after post. I have enough time to get into the BIOS and check the system temp. CPU is reporting 45C, thermal shutdown? The video also drops out when the computer hard locks. Any ideas?

45C is nowhere close to thermal shut down. Have you considered that it would be helpful to post your system specs?

The heatsink on the NB was raised slightly due to the orientation of the stock Intel heatsink. I guess that is enough to cause a shutdown event within a few seconds after POST. Thanks... the system specs were coming. I just wanted to make sure this was not a common problem.
