gift card scam?

Woops.......Looks like AMC website is screwed up at the moment. I called 1-800-255-0311 for transaction history and the card is good...

Ouch. Who was the gift card merchant? Do you still have the number of the cards? You might be able to get a transaction history from the merchant with the card details.
 
it was amc and i do have the number. i was thinking of trying to figure out when it was used but not sure how.
 
seller needs to refund IMO. unless the seller access's the account and see's that it was used AFTER it was shipped to the buyer.

Call amc and say you didn't remember using it and wanted to check the history on it. Usually being nice while sticking to enough truth to still be valid helps. At worst just be totally honest with them about the situation. With the number they're likely to be able to, it's the willingness that's the concern.
