Getting Win 3.11 to log into a Win2000 domain...

how can i go about doing this? I created the user on the 2000 server but i can not log in from the 3.11 machine :(

BTW, its only for a practical joke...
 
Sounds like what you really ought to do (assuming you want the Win 3 look) is look up how to use the old Program Manager shell that's still packaged with all NT flavors. It's your prank, do your own research.
 
oh well, just got it working.

Its like the old Win95 and Win98 days when you had to change the workgroup name to the domain name.
 
What are you wanting to do? Its easy enough to connect to a NT4\W2K server from DOS, and map drives and such.
 
Tink, all i needed to do was log into a Win2000 domain so i could gain access to the network shares. Not too dificult at all. Just not having used Win 3.11 in many, many years is what the problem was. That and I had the password wrong on the account, lol
