getting rid of annoying explorer bar in window

alright i had it gone for awhile and then it came back. the explorer bar on the left side of a window when you're looking at my computer (my documents, etc). it will let me select under view: explorer bar: folders, media, etc. but it won't let me hid it.

how do i hide the info stuff on the left hand side.

tools > folder options > general

Under web view, select "Use Windows classic folders"


or are you talking about the useful folder tree?
