Get a 2nd 6870 or just buy a new card

I want some more gaming performance. Should i get a 2nd 6870 for around $150 or just buy a newer card? what are the performance benefits of adding a second card vs buying a new one?

single card less hassle with drivers and games.
todays cards are pretty much so good so crossfire is out of it.
 
If you can pickup a used 6870 for around $100 on the for sale forum, then I would crossfire. Yes, some folks have nothing but problems, but I have been running crossfire 6870s and now 6950s for a few years without a single issue.
 
no point in buying another 6870 since most of the games where you need that much gpu power to crank settings will be limited by 1gb of vram anyway. sell the 6870 and get a faster single card and also pick up another 4gb of system ram.
