genuine validation problems

recently ive tried to update windows. but i couldnt because windows.com said my genuine validation failed..im pretty sure my windows xp isnt pirated..considering ive been using the same os fer over a year now.......any ideas or does anyone know how i can contact microsoft...(their site is a labrynth of ambiguity)
 
you dont need to even run the tool as its not really required .in IE click on tools>manage add-ons.. you may have to click on "add-ons that Ie has used" in teh dropdown.. look for microsoft genuine advanatage and click disable...apply and then try
