Hey everyone,
Let me start off by saying that I'm aware of the 112 page thread on this monitor quite a few pages back on the forum.
I guess you can say I'm one of the unlucky people who came across this monitor and loved it through it's return period.
However, about 3 weeks after I got the monitor it started it's "inverted" ghosting/smearing and made both movies and gaming practically worthless on this display. Through investigation I have come to the conclusion that many others have: it's heat related. I've RMA'ed a March 2007, Jan 2007, and have a Feb 2007 model right now, all exhibit the same ghosting problem (although banding is not an issue on this current panel).
To prevent starting another 112 page thread of complaints, I'm point the discussion a bit:
I was wondering if anyone had ANY luck with RMA's in getting a decent panel with respect to ghosting.
Also, has anyone ingeniously solved the overheating problem with this monitor (or any other) through fans, drilling holes, or other means?
Short of selling this beast at a loss, I'm out of options.
