    Hi all,

I recently picked up a Linksys WRT54G for a great price ($45 after rebate). My current network is 2 desktops wired and 1 ibook wireless.

My desktop machine is used only for gaming, and the second is my girlfriends machine. I want to set up the router to prioritize gaming traffic at the highest priority, and web surfing / downloading at a lower priority to gaming.

What is the easiest way to do this?

Ive read that multiplayer games like BF2, HL2 use Ping/ICMP packets.

    thanks so much,

    Jeff

Probably the easiest is to do it via port ethernet number, MAC address or if your feeling brave, via the port number itself.

    Heres an example

I've actually had bad experiences using QoS w/ Sveasoft... I've read, and experienced problems where your speed just gets flakey, slows down, etc., when nothing taxing is being done.
