Hello fellow forumers. I am about to buy a new laptop, and since I want to also be able to game on it, but also not spend a fortune, after searching a bit I looked upon this one...

What do you think ? I understand the 9800gts is a fairly good card, but at 1920x1200 maybe it won't be such a big upgrade (my current laptop has a 8600m gt at 1280x800).

What other playable resolution will I be able to use without distorting everything a lot?

The 9800gts is a good card, however, it's a previous generation card. What games are you looking to play?

I would take a look at the Asus G51, or G71. The newer ones now have the Core i7, 1920x1200 but more importantly it has a GTX 260M.

Yes. The 9800GTS I think only has 64 shaders. the 260 has 96 and GTX280m has the full 112 shaders. All current nvidia mobile cards are based around the G92 core.

How do they compare to the mobile ati cards for speed?
