realy need decision time now,
GAMING is my thing, so i need kool
so ive got a choice out of

Lian Li PC-V350B Micro ATX Case Black

or

Lian Li PC-A05B Aluminium Midi Tower - Black

i will be overclocking maybe my gpu and my cpu, so things are gunna get HOT!!!!
id also like some water colling sometime in the future.
ive just ordered 4 gig of black dragon ram to go in the case,
heres the spec of what will be going in the case's, i realy like the looks on the v350 it looks more subtle due to its size, but i just cant afford the HEAT hta i know it will make....

Memory

* 4GB (2 x 2Gb Strips)
* DDR 800mhz

CPU + COOLER

* AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 5000+
* 2 x 2.6GHz
* 2 x 512KB L2 Cache
* cooler depends on case

Motherboard

* Socket AM2
* MicroATX Form Factor
* Maximum Bus Speed - 2000MHz
* NVIDIA GeForce 6100 nForce 405 Chipset
* DDR2 800/677/533MHz Support (Expandable to 4096Mb) - 2 slots
* 1x PCI-Express x16, 1x PCI Express x1 Slots
* 2x PCI slots
* Onboard Graphics
* 2x USB 2.0
* Onboard LAN
* Onboard 5.1 channel Audio
* 2x SATAII / 1x IDE

PSU: coolermaster 650 watt

GPU: Ati HD2900gt

HDD: wb cav x2

That GPU is rather outdated, any reason why you chose that? Is it a card you have laying around already? Also AMD offers faster dual cores out of the box as well. Just trying to get a feeling of where you're at and all that. Plus what motherboard is that?

mATX + cool = mini P180

That's if you're ok with its size. Then you have no case restriction on heatsink, number of HDs or size of the GPU...

As mentioned before, it looks like some of the components you plan to use are a bit 'behind the curve'. Especially if gaming is your thing.

lol P180 mini. You're not going to be lugging that mid-tower sized case around and there are "SFF" cases which cool better than it - Qmicra, SG01/2 (cools GPUs better than many cases), NZXT Rogue (of course). Might as well go ATX if you go P180 mini since the size difference between that and its big brother is minimal.

Between the two cases um... they're pretty damn different - one's not even a SFF >.>"

yeah its an old card guys, im on a low budget you see, all my items need to be from ccl so i can pick them up :), i will be upgrading soon, but gaming is deffo my thing, so what do you think??? i will upgrade card-s and cpu soon, but im using this system as a starting point, + i can run crysis on hig settings with no laggg ha ha in 1280-1024

Coolermaster 340! To go along with your low budget so you can spend more on video card.

It sure is cheap. Only problem (IMHO) is that it transmits HD vibrations really well so HD seeks are very loud, compared to, say, an Antec case. Has lots of space for GPUs and can be fitted with 2 120mm fans. Not bad.

Agreed that lugging a miniP180 is out of the question. And besides that's not in the OP's considerations. But I think you're wrong about the cooling. The 200mm fan on top is ridiculouly efficient. So efficient that you can run good CPU heatsinks passively, even on OC'd CPU (YMMV of course). My E8200 runs cool with an Ultima90 on FSB1600 passively with the 200mm on low. As for GPU cooling nothing prevents you from installing a 120mm directly in front of it (the lower drive cage has to go then). And the upper HD cage is fitted with silicon mounts so HD's are virtually silent. And I can tell you that the size difference between it and the P182 is significant. Sure it won't suit everyone's tastes or needs, but it's a damn good case IMO.

Saying that there are things that cool better does not mean it cools badly.

1 or 2 inches... pretty insignificant when the big brother is a bit of a beast by itself. Still very much an ATX case - it's bigger than an Antec 300 rofl.

Also for consideration are the SG01, SG02 and SG03. SG01 and 02 are like $60-70 on Newegg right now.

You know why the mini P180 is not an ATX case? Because it only supports uATX motherboards. It could be the size of a monster truck but if it can't handle an ATX motherboard, it's not an ATX case.

Wow still on it? It's huge, period. It's the size of an ATX case - point, something you obviously don't get.

easy, tiger. That was me the 2 original miniP180 posts. And I agree with you. The NSK 4480 is almost the same size. But you don't fit a GTX260 or 280 in it (that I know of).

Anyway. Let's get back to topic. A good simple mATX case is the NSK3480 even though it's not as sexy as the Silverstone's or Lian Li's.

Which one of Tj08 or P180 is best gaming SFF??

The P180 may be a mATX case but most people around here don't consider it a SFF case. Now having said that which of the two you are asking about has better/superior case cooling? I believe that would be the P180.
