Far Cry 5 - I got this game back when it was launched, didn't really have much interest in it at the time and I recently finished it
Doom Eternal - Got it on sale late last year, wasn't really into it until I got bored and finished it like last week

I still need to finish Metro Exodus but the slow paced linear gameplay is starting to annoy me with the frequent cutscenes, I bought it like last year and I never bothered with it much

Not many this year:

Halo: Reach
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
Tomb Raider (2013)

Dishonored, Dishonored 2 - basically that's it, I did start a few other games but didn't finish any of them.

Forgot to add I also beat the first Halo for the first time ever, playing the Master Chief Collection version on PC. But I now fully remember why I never made it to the end of that slog of game. Holy shit...

Thanks for reminding me so I don't get tempted to play it. I also abandoned it halfway through when it came out. And I was much more patient with games back then, so that says a lot.

I honestly hate myself for forcing me to play through it to the end, not going to lie. I don't know if I want to put myself through that torture with Halo 2, as I quit playing that originally even earlier than I did the first game.

This thread is making me realize 90% of my gaming consists of multiplayer/live service games that you never really "beat".

Metro Exodus is the only one I can think of.

Hmmmm, let's see...

Demon's Souls (PS5)
Cyberpunk 2077
The Last of Us 2 (for the 3rd time)
The Last of Us Remaster (3rd time as well)
Resident Evil 7
Resident Evil Village (Twice)
Dirt 5
Ori and the Blind Forest
Ori and the Will 'o the Wisps
Biomutant
Assassin's Creed Valhalla

...and a fair number of hours playing Street Fighter 5 and Smash Ultimate.

The list is small this year, so far, compared to last year. Last year I wanted to clean out my backlog to play The Last of Us 2 and clear it out I did.

So far: Assassin's Creed 1
I'm currently working on part 2

Last year (Descending)
Control
Rise of the Tomb Raider
Beyond: Two Souls
The Last Guardian
The Last of Us Part 2
The Last of Us
Uncharted 1, 2, 3, 4, and The Lost Legacy
Mafia 3
Mad Max
TMNT Mutants in Manhatten
What Remains of Edith Finch
Here They Lie
Remothered Tormented Fathers
The Order 1886
Monster Hunter: World
The Sinking City
Shadow of the Colossus
and
Dying Light

Yeah that's why my list is so short.

God of War
Spiderman ps4
Bloodborne
Noih 2
Metro Exodus and all DLC
Hades
Cyberpunk 2077 x 2

slow gaming year.

Control
CyberPunk 2077
Ghost of Tsushima
Mafia 1 Remaster
Monster Hunter Rise
Shakedown Hawaii
Might be a couple more I am forgetting. I finished Shadow of the Tomb Raider but that might have been late 2020.

Tried to get through Metro Exodus but the continuous crashing sort of killed my enthusiasm for finishing it. I also need to get around to finishing Last of Us Part 2, I think I must be fairly close to the end.

Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart
Spider-Man Miles Morales
CyberPunk 2077 x2

Hollow Knight (again)
Hades
Sundered (again)
Cotton Reboot (twice)
Mario Odyssey
Super Aleste
Serei Senshi Spriggan
Castlevania: Chi no Rondo (again)
Axiom Verge (again)
Resolutiion
Hyper Light Drifter (again)
Ghosts n Goblins Resurrection (on fairly easy mode :D )
Cyber Shadow
Gunlord X
Outbuddies DX

A bunch of other classics on my MiSTer, indies, probably other PC games. I’m almost done with Doom Eternal as well…

To all the Halo PC guys above, I totally agree! I worked at MGS doing hardware compatibility testing for it. I thought it was the most boring shooter I'd played. (except multiplayer, trying to flip warthogs up into strange places :D ) Also, Randy Pitchford punted all of my bug reports, saying they weren't important for release. (pissed me off) There were entire walls with Z-fighting so bad, that it would probably give people seizures. :D I almost wish I wasn't in the credits under QA!

I beat Donkey Kong Country 102%.

Here's the photo to prove it.
