GamersGate - Arma2 9.99 + hundreds of 50% off

ARMA2 is easily worth $10. I started playing that after BF2 since there has been a huge lack of good open war games with vehicles since Battlefield 2..... definitely a little more realism than BF2 but kick ass if you have a MATURE GROUP of gamer friends that like these types of games. It's not the type of game you go clicking and running, it takes actual skill and planning as you move, skill that goes far beyond pointing and aiming at everything with a red name to "own" it.

The realism and replay value is easily $10

Another thing, I've never heard of this gamers gate site, but they have every game I have heard of in that list..... is it a fishy site or has anyone used it?

Plus they have buy 3, get 1 free.....

"Fill your cart with 4 games, and get the cheapest one free of charge. That goes for every game on GamersGate"

Tropico 3 $8, Fallout for peanuts, BC2 is only $13! I can go on and on with the cheaper deals but is the site legit? By the looks of it, I am 99% sure its safe, and It says they are all download by the way? Let me know A.S.A.P

I've been playing ARMA2 unhealthy amounts of time since the thanksgiving steam sale, which included Operation Arrowhead. It's not really worth getting ARMA without OA if you plan to do multiplayer. The British Armed Forces and Private Military Company sub-expansions are quite optional though.

Like Dylan80 said, the best experience is when playing with a mature group of players, not in a pub. The game requires too much strategy and patience for pub play to be fun.

If you plan to do the single player campaign, prepare for an exercise in frustration though. It's ultimately rewarding, but friendly AI is a pain in the ass to get used to controlling, and scripting can still be kind of buggy.

It's definitely legit, I've seen them in slickdeals and here before, and I bought from them... they don;t have every game on sale but i wish, i'm looking for dawn of discovery, but considering tropico 3

Tropico 3 demo lasted me easily a day or more, definitely play it since its free, or just buy the game now if you consider my recommendation. :D

Sending out assassination squads on rioters is one of the best parts :D

ARMA II is a first person combat simulation. It's not a shooter. Don't expect an FPS experience because you won't get one. But it is awesome.

Edit: Tropico 3 is awesome too, I was a huge fan of the series and I feel Tropico 3 is the best, despite being a totally new developer. Supposedly Tropico 4 is coming in 2011... can't wait!!

I've put 36 hours into Tropico 3 since I got it during the Thanksgiving Steam sale. Hilarious game and definitely worth it at that price. They also have the Gold edition for $12.48, which'll save some money on the expansion (unless you use the 4 for 3 deal to get it free).

I'm thinking about ARMA 2, but it'd probably destroy my 5870 at anything but lowest settings if I played in Eyefinity.

I love ARMA2, nothing like taking 2 hours to setup an ambush position on an enemy APC, setting up covering fire while I stay prone to the ground lining up my target with the laser designator, calling in for an air strike, waiting 3 minutes for said air strike only to have the air strike come up short and miss the APC target by 25 yards killing your entire squad leaving you handicapped with 2 useless legs. Thus requiring you to crawl 2 blocks while taking out a boat load of pissed off terrorists with nothing but my sidearm and 2 clips while dodging hellfire from the APC that apparently survived the air strike, pry an AT gun from the charred remains of your troops, crawl 30 yards to position yourself behind the APC. Prepare to fire one last ditch effort to win the game only to be shot in the back of the head by a sniper atleast 200 yards away in some forest nowhere near the village you were currently occupying.

No but seriously, the game is amazing.

hahaha, I seriously laughed... Spot on description of a normal random map in the game. The maps are HUUUUGEEEEE too, thank god for the 4x game speed button when you get your legs blown out and are forced to crawl half a mile in the game :D

I have around 30 games on the site, and whenever I have had a problem they were always willing to fix the problem. As an example I had one of my games activations run out so I sent them an email and they issues another key.
I have also posted a few gamersgate sales on this site, but most people don't seem to care, so I stopped...

Nothing but great experiences with GamersGate here as well. They often beat Steam sales, and there is no front end store you have to use to launch games. But yeah, most people here are Steam or nothing.
