I will be making a page on my site where the top 10 will go. Then when a llama comes to [H], we can show them these commandments :D

Since the poll only supports 10 options..
Make a list of 10 of these that you think are the most important and post it in this thread, then I will count them up

Start picking:


Thou shalt NOT FLY THE CHOPPER WHEN YOU KNOW YOU CAN NOT HIT THE GROUND
Thou shalt WATCH before you throw a grenade or flashbang for friendlies
Speak not of "Hack" - "Cheat" and dishonor thyself by creating scenes and having fits when thine enemy is clearly better
than thou.
Thou shalt not take note of ones kill to death ratio, keep only in mind thou has dispatched thine enemy in the most stylish of manners and pleased thy commander
Thou shall listen thy commaders orders
Thou shall not hack
Thou shalt not ridicule others GF4 MX440's.
Thou shall not team kill
Thou shall not boast about thy high score
Thou shal Knife whenever possible for style points
Thou shalt not complain about game patches.
Thou shall aspire to be a respected gamer
Thou shall not accuse thy neighbor of hacking
Thou shall not rely on 3DMark for thy performance comparisons
Thou shall not start ATI vs. NVidia threads.
Thou shalt not partake in Mic spamming
Thou shall aim for the head
Thou shall not bunnyhop
Thou shall not camp
Thou shall not use 1337 speak to shorten sentences
Thou shalt not covet another gamer's system
Thou shall not go AFK
Thou shall not play online if ping is more then 100ms
Thou shalt not dub others "noobs", or be labeled "noob" thyself.
Thou shall not screencheat while lanning.
Thou shall not phone cheat in spectator mode.
Thou shalt not claim thy premodded/Alienware system automatically superior to any and all less blindingly bright/less fugly systems.
Thou shalt not "accidently" disconnect thy enemy's ethernet cable.
Thou shalt not claim consoles superior to PCs.
 
No hacking
No team killing
Aim for the head
No going AFK
No online play if more than 100ms ping
Knife for style points
No ATI vs. NVidia threads
No boasting of high score
No camping
No relying on 3D Mark

I am sorry. If anyone has played with CyByte on CS:S I appoligize for my ignorance in breaking his rule....

.... ps GF4 MX 440s = teh suck

I dunno why theres one about over 100ms ping or using a GF MX-440.

MX440's are fine if you wanna play games at low res, which is what most gamers do anywaay.

As for ping, tonnes of people play lots of NON-FPS games with pings over that and do it quite happily.

when i first started gaming i had a PCI one :eek:
 
make these top 10

1. Thou shall not rely on 3DMark for thy performance comparisons (my one :D )
2. Thou shall not bunnyhop
3. Thou shall not camp
4. Thou shall not team kill
5. Thou shalt not "accidently" disconnect thy enemy's ethernet cable.
6. Thou shall aim for the head

10. Thou shall not boast about thy high score
 
Thou shalt NOT votekick when someone isn't moving fast enough for you. If you want to play, thou shalt not die 30 seconds into the god dang round!

Thou shalt NOT block the door MUST be included.

Yeah, have you ever tried to play CSS when your ping is in the sub 100s and someones is in the high 250s? Its like trying to guess where they are gonna be next to kill them. I know it doesnt affect the high pinger but it affects the other players.

This needed editing.
Thou shall not camp (unless you're a sniper)

Smart snipers know not to stay in the same place after a couple of kills though.
