Anything like a modchip for the PS2 or XBox exist for the Gamecube? I've heard of a disc called "freeloader", is this essentially the same thing?

All you need is a freeloader, no need for a modchip, just like the old Dreamcast games for imports. I'm getting one for Naruto 2.

No.

Freeloader lets you play discs from other regions only.

There is only one way to boot code on the GC, and it involved the AC Loader, a LAN, and the broadband adaptor. Check out Dextrose.

There was one that I knew of that let you run anything but it was for the no longer produced Q Drive.

Nope. The Panasonic Q wasn't ever cracked or chipped. It's a GC @ heart.

I do remeber seeing a q dirve that was region free game and DVD and I also believe that ehy had "back up" capability I'll look but I think the place was scraped when the DMCA and mod chips are evil phase was huge.
