Game Codes

Quick question, anyone know if game codes are regional? I'm living in Ireland, and found a game code for sale in the US, would it matter at all ??

From Google I found that it can sometimes be a prob with the Ubisoft games through their portal, as you have to choose to buy the game etc then put in the code at the checkout. But with Steam and Origin would it matter?

Pretty sure for Steam, not usually - most games can be activated anywhere. Don't know about other distro networks.

Depends on the game and such. Which game is it? I've purchased Russian keys before that required a Russian IP to activate on steam once then after that it would work on my Canadian IP. Company provided a IP proxy to do it. Do a search and see if the game/code is region locked like this.

Thanks, it's Crysis 3, which is done through Origin I believe.
