As I read it the main issue is that the case was a dismissal because of their legal immunity.... This appears to be the casino claiming malfunction and hiding behind the "no payout on machine malfunction" disclaimer...
Their claim is "No Payout on malfunction". Doesn't matter if there should be a payout or not...Funny how these stories rarely involve a casino paying out after claiming the machine malfunctioned when it said "No Win".
Not the first to get scammed there.Guy scammed by an Indian casino.... Shocker.
After my experiences I would never set foot in one of those places, let alone tribal land.
I just have one question. When you see pollution, do you shed a tear?
I didnt know this guy's jackpot meant so much to you.I'm make sure an electrical "malfunction" burned down the casino.

... and it's obvious that there was a malfunction. Any "win" is defined as a malfunction...

Even some 200 years ago the natives got scammed by the US government...
All the casinos have the no payout due to malfunction clause, however in this case what bothers me is they didnt have to prove the machine actually malfunctioned. The feds simply shielded them from the lawsuit entirely. That pretty much tells me they are scamming the guy. We have a bunch of indian casinos in Michigan, I rarely go there to be honest as they have no real specific payout % and the sign on the door pretty much tells you that tribal laws and regulations are in effect there. They only real positive to them is they are smaller venues and tend to treat you pretty decent if you have a record of staying there once or twice.

You mean the immigrants got scammed, kinda hard to claim your people have been on the land since Europa split when they were traced to middle eastern heritage. Along with potentially being the second set of immigrants to cross the land bridge and slaughtered the first group that crossed over
What the fuck are you talking about? When was the last time you cracked a history book?I realize your joking but in general this is how I respond to people sympathizing with "natives": F**K that shit. The tribes got conquered plain and simple. I am really tired of hearing them bitch and whine about how our ancestors stole their land etc. So what? You lost. Deal with it and move on. The way I see it the winning side didnt have to give you jack shit but we did.
It may be a legal operation but not on the up and up...Cause it might be the only legal gambling establishment in the region?

What "war" did the tribes lose...are you referring to the various treaties the US government made with the sovereign tribal nations?
A judge dismissed the suit after the casino claimed it was shielded by tribal immunity provisions in federal law, and the Supreme Court agreed. There was no evidence that the gambling was illegal, the justices said, and Rape had no way to win the case.
Well, if those were off the "top of your head" then you need to look them up because they pretty much indicate you don't know what the fuck you're talking about...Boy have you got some reading to do. Not even considering the wars before the revolutionary war (which was also fought with and against Indians) youve got the following to read up on:
Black Hawk War
Creek War
Second Seminole War
Cayuse War
Nez Perce War
Navajo War
Dakota War
And those are just the ones I could think of off the top of my head. Like it or not there has been a long history of this nation (and our colonial predecessors - be they Brits, Spanish, French etc) of invading and killing off the "natives". Just like the "natives" did to any "First" people.
To think otherwise is just foolish. What did you think all of those things our soldiers were doing back then? Politely asking them to leave their lands?
What a stupid thing to say. Since most of these casinos are open 24 hours a day, you are looking at multiple attempted murder charges here, or worse if anybody dies.I'm make sure an electrical "malfunction" burned down the casino.
They don't even usually have free booze. Why would I go there?
This is the part you relentlessly go to the media about...

as for what soldiers were doing back then, sometimes they were enforcing treaties that weren't entered into with all the people they impacted, sometimes they were taking over territory that weren't included in the treaties, and in general violating treaties that Congress had entered into with various tribal nations, which is why people argue that lands were "stolen" from natives.
tribal immunity laws are complete bullshit. Crappy kangaroo courts with no recourse is a perversion of justice. The fact that there's no federal oversight means they operate outside the law.
