I've got a GA-X58A-UD5 motherboard and am trying to get this Intel PRO/1000 PT Quad Port Server Adapter to show up.( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000JLF4FG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 )

I need some troubleshooting help. My NVIDIA 9800GTX+ card is taking up PCIe slots 1 and 2. Reviews on amazon for this nic said as long as you don't have PCIe 3.0 you are good to go with this card. Gigabytes site says this is PCIe 2.0..http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3450#sp

intel says it has drivers for this card for windows 7x64 - http://ark.intel.com/products/50496/Intel-PRO1000-PT-Quad-Port-Server-Adapter

nic driver download page - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/50496/Intel-PRO-1000-PT-Quad-Port-Server-Adapter

any thoughts?

i'm starting to think that this network card isn't compatible with windows 7 x64.

this is a pci e x1 card only, and of course my x1 slot is blocked on my mother board...dont even think a low profile card would work. Returning it and looking for something else. hopefully this info helps someone in the future.
