Hello all ...
New to this forum.
I've had the G604 for some time, but really haven't taken time to program the buttons.
My questions have to do with programming the buttons for a certain applications.
I don't do gaming, but want a set of buttons for various application (or system control), say Firefox, YouTube, Quicken, Sketchup, Affinity Designer, and others.
For example, I might use Sketchup to do some 3D drawing.
I want to program some buttons for that application.
Then, say I want to switch to Quicken or some other application with its own set of buttons.
This means assigning the same buttons to some other command.
How do you set up the buttons to match the application?
Could someone point me to some tutorial or instructions on how to do this?
It seems to me that one would need to identify and set the application being used before assigning buttons.
I hope this is making some sense.
The instructions in Assignments say to drag a system control onto a target to assign it to this device.
What target? Does that mean one of the buttons? If so, then that button gets changed when you assign a command to that button.
Does that wipe out the system control?
I could go on about what I am trying to do.
I'll stop now and hope someone has a simple way to describe how to do this.
Thanks for listening.
Bob
