G.SKILL Ripjaws vs X series

I think your links maybe wrong. I'm seeing 2x2 and 2x4 gb sticks.

I'm thinking maybe they just revised their ram somewhere and they could be replacing it with a slightly modified same thing. I'm sure either will work. I just purchased an XL variety and found myself with the same problem. Same exact specs same price, different model number. Good luck.
 
I believe the diff is that the X series *officially* support XMP -- the X modules on newegg note that they are geared for SB and Z68 chipsets w/XMP. However, I had bought some non X series which I never wound up installing off newegg but they too noted XMP suppt on the modules, but not the webpage -- so not REALLY sure what the diff is.
 
One has xmp profiles set for x58 and the other has them for sandy. Other than that, same chips, same pcbs, different heatspreader.
 
Ripjaws, Ripjaws X, and Ripjaws Z are identical besides slight XMP differences and heatspreader.
Pick the one that looks coolest to you.
