G.SKILL 2GB PC2-6400 800 questions?

I have the 2GB Gskill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ

I know that nobody really pays attention to the Windows Experience Index, but for some reason, it's only rated at 5.1. I'm running on default timings right now which is 5-5-5-15 2T. I had it once at 4-4-4-12 2T @ stock volts and still had the same rate of 5.1. I would think that at least this great ram would rate 5.6 and above.
 
At what speed is it running at currently? 400? Make sure it's set to 2.0-2.1v

For the score index, is this the base or the memory score?

Yea i believe it's 400 and it's set at 2.0. Also the score is the memory score. It's basically what pulls down the overall score. Here is a screenshot of cpu-z for the ram info.
 
First off, the Vista score means crap, half the bench mark tests mean crap as well.

Best I can tell the Vista score has more to do with speed than timings. When I was running 2GB of 667 and OCed it (maxed out somewhere close to 770 something) the Vista score went up from 4.8 to 5.1. Now running 4GB of G.SKILL and I am getting a 5.9 score.

So try upping the timings and OCing the RAM if you MUST have a higher Vista score, but the 5.1 rating sounds about right to me for the amount of RAM and speed.
 
I'm planning to purchase another set of F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ. So a total of 4x1gb. Is there a difference if i get 2x2gb instead of 4x1gb? Also, will i have to change my settings on my OC if i decide to add more ram?
 
With 6400HZ if you insist on crippling it running it at such low speeds the run it at 3-3-3-5
Better yet use the dividers and get it up between 550 and 625 or 1100mhz and 1250 mhz with timings of 5-5-5-6. You are just torturing that memory by dogging it down the way you are!!! You have some of the finest DDR memory made.... Power it up!!
