Just wondering if it would be worth it to buy the fx-53 fs for 450 vs my 3200 venice. What kind of performance gain? Double or less?

FX-53 isn't that great of a CPU for being an FX, really. The San Diego 4000+ would be better. Just go/stay with the venice 3200+.

You'll probably reach the same o/c speeds however the FX53 will have 1mb cache.

fx 53 is on its last leg. your 3200 should o/c and beat teh 53 for alot less money.

What kind of speed will your 3200+ overclock to? I wouldn't even consider the FX-53 myself unless it was dirt cheap.

Yeah stick with your venice 3200.......... ;) Save your money for a rainy day upgrade! :D

If you must upgrade, go to a 3700+ or 4000+ San Diego, both of which are just rebranded FX-51s and FX-53s.

lol that's what I thought. poor guy in the fs section is gonna have a hard time selling his. my venice has hit 2.35 but I haven't even bothered to go into the bios yet to tweak. More interested in stability so will prob stay around 2.2 w/ 2gb of OCZ 1T 2.5-3-3-7
