Future of upgradability...dual core?

Hello, all. I'm moving to A64 soon with my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum being delivered tomorrow. I'm slapping in a 3200 Venice core for starters, but I'm wondering about the future. I want to have this setup for a few years, and I was curious about dual core support. Does it or will it support the move to an X2 (when prices move down, that is)? The MSI website doesn't mention it AFAIK, so I ask you all. Thanks for your time!
