Hi all. Up for sale is my CPU I got not too long ago. It is an ES of a custom chip used by Amazon for their AWS. It has 10 cores, no HT, and clocks at 2.9GHz base and 3.2 Turbo, with 140w TDP. Stepping is QFSC.

This thing is a BEAST. It eats through Premiere Pro and Handbrake encoding, so if you do a lot of that, this chip is one you want to look at. Unfortunately, I don't do enough video work to make this chip worthwhile, so I'm swapping to a 5820K to get a bit higher clock speed.

For reference, this CPU will encode 'Big Buck Bunny' 4K60 video at 27.2FPS in Handbrake using the 'High Profile' preset.

I'm running it on an Asrock X99M Extreme4, and it will work on most LGA 2011-v3 desktop boards (Gigabyte, EVGA, Asus, Asrock, MSI).

Any data on how fast it does WorldCommunityGrid projects?

No, sorry, I've never actually done any distributed computing. It is ten physical cores at 3.1GHz, so should be pretty snappy - maybe compare it to a similarly clocked 8 core, 16 thread?
