[FOR SALE] INVENTORY

ENTIRE COMPUTERS
SIMPLE MACHINE $125 OBO
"Simple Machine" is a thin client which I modified for use as a proper PC. It has a 533MHz (IIRC) VIA Eden CPU, 256MB PC100 SDRAM, and a 32GB CompactFlash "hard drive". No optical drive, nor room for one. Total power consumption when on and running full load is less than 30W (!!) but this has a price of absolutely dismal performance. Takes at least ~5min to boot (never formally timed it) and performs like a P3 Celeron of about the same speed. But hey, if you're used to a Pentium II or somesuch... ;)
Simple Machine currently runs GreenPup 1.1.2, a type of Puppy Linux that I made myself. If you want me to put a different version of Puppy on there, let me know what you're looking for and (if you don't already know for certain) I'll help you pick out what you want.
Please note that this machine is incapable of running Windows, as it doesn't have enough RAM to run Vista or Win7 (by a long shot) and there's no easy way around that. XP and earlier do not like flash media as a general rule.
Comes with the system unit, two sets of "feet" to hold it vertical, and the case for the CF card, which has the card's model/serial info on it. Buyer will need to own a VESA-compliant LCD with a VGA port (make sure that the connector & cable have all 15 pins!).
COMPUTER PARTS.

Set of Three Old RAM Sticks. $5.00
One is a SAMSUNG 32MB PC100 stick.
One is a generic 64MB PC100 stick.
One is a Compaq 64MB PC100 stick , # 323012-001.
Will sell only as the set of three.

Fujitsu MPC3043AT -A ~4GB (4118MB Logical Size) Hard Drive. JUST PAY SHIPPING!
It's a little hard drive. IDE (duh), 3.5" form factor, functions. What more do you want in an itsy desktop drive?

Western Digital Caviar 22100 ~2GB (2012MB Logical Size) Hard Drive. JUST PAY SHIPPING!
Wow. It's actually 1/2 the size of the Fujitsu drive! But it works.

eMachines Floppy Drive. JUST PAY SHIPPING!
Actually, it seems to be made by Samsung. Funny how that works... no faceplate/bezel for it, BTW, but the door and button are black under my lighting. Pull from a former machine of mine that died shortly after a power outage... this item has not been tested since. Should work, though; floppy drives are usually pretty rugged.

Motorola DSL Modem. $15.00
It's a black box. Model # 3347-02-1022. Google knows nothing useful on this device... and all my father told me was "Here, get rid of this thing." Came from his wife's office... she moved her business and doesn't need it anymore. Comes with power brick and green DSL (phone style) cable. eBay has it for ~$40. I have it for $15. I hope that works for ya.

Everex EV-346M MFM Hard Drive + Floppy Drive Controller Card. JUST PAY SHIPPING!
It's ISA-16, and it's from the early days of computing. In the Golden Olden Times, hard drives and floppy drives didn't have a controller card on them, and relied on an ISA (or, in the even older days, S-100) card to both extract the data and tell the "drive" (platters + R/W heads in a large, ugly box) what to do. This card is one of those. It's actually one of the *newer* ones, being ISA-16 (ISA-8 chassis need not apply). It has two 34pin connectors for the controls and two 20pin connectors for the data. Configuration and compatibility options can be found here.

ThermalTake CL-P0532 HSF for LGA1366. $15.00
I bought this for ~$8. Tt sells it for $35. I've got to make a profit sometime, so I thought $15 would be fair.

ANTISTATIC BAGS
Yeah, I got 'em... got very tired of going down and begging at the local computer shop, so I bought my own. They're ULINE brand, and come in two sizes (and thus two prices).
6"x8" bags are $0.25 apiece or 5/$1.00
10"x12" bags are $0.50 apiece or 5/$2.00

This will go away when I get low on 'em...
MISCELLANY
$50 UNIVERSAL ORLANDO Gift Card $40 or [FT]
It's ~2yrs old, but there's no expiry date, so it should still work at full value. I will accept cash OR trade for $40 worth of Zynga/Farmville gift cards (for Mom, I don't play it).
[BOOK] MACHINE LANGUAGE FOR THE COMMODORE 64, 128, AND OTHER COMMODORE COMPUTERS by Jim Butterfield $25
I know this is a really long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try. Used this in a course in college to learn how to program a Commodore 64 in assembly code. It's a real mess, but this book is absolutely golden for anyone wanting to program anything on a Commodore computer from way back when. This book is also well out of print and quite rare nowadays... I paid $30 or so for it myself. More than worth the money if you're into retrocomputing type stuff :D

THE JUNKYARD
Items in this section are (to me) fairly worthless. They've all been sitting in a cardboard tray since Times Unknown. Not all of them even have antistatic bags right now.
Everything in this section is $3 + shipping unless otherwise noted. ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY ON THIS CRAP!!
BABY AT MOTHERBOARD WITH PROCESSOR AND RAM
This is a Baby AT form-factor board, but it's got an ATX power connector on it in addition to the old P8/P9 AT power connector. Not sure how that works. That said, since it comes with a Socket 7 CPU, HSF, and all RAM slots filled, it's a bit of a bargain. Sorry, no clue as to make/model, but all the jumper setting info is printed right on the board. It's in a pink antistatic bag.
*DAMAGED* SOCKET 462/A mATX MOTHERBOARD
This mainboard is a very nice one... except for the three bad caps on the CPU VReg circuit! Its twin got repaired and is in Igor the Rebuilt Gateway, above. That said, my soldering skills are slightly above "burns self with iron" and I simply don't have the $50 to give to the local computer shop to fix it.
SOCKET 7 mATX MOTHERBOARD WITH PROC
Three RAM slots, three PCI slots, an ISA-16 slot, and an AMR/CNR slot (same thing). Micro-ATX form factor, very generic. Comes with an AMD Socket 7 CPU already on it, complete with some leftover thermal grease.
INTEL AN430 SOCKET 7 ATX MOTHERBOARD
Looks to be Gen1 ATX -- the color requirements for the I/O riser hadn't come out yet, so all the connectors on the back are black! Note that this is also a Socket 7 board. No antistatic bag, but I'll try and stuff it into one on its way out the door.
GATEWAY MOTHERBOARD WITH PROC
This /used/ to be in Igor the Rebuilt Gateway (see above) but it was a pretty sad system with this thing inside. So I took it out! Comes with a Celeron 566MHz CPU and one damaged RAM slot (missing one latch, nothing else). Looks to be Gateway P/N 4000655. I'll stuff it in an antistatic bag on its way to the shipping shop.
ETHERLINK XL PCI NETWORK CARD
Has a 3Com chipset, no jumpers. Bare card only -- I'll give it an antistatic bag, but that's the only thing you'll get other than the card!
GENERIC PCI ETHERNET CARD
It's got a Realtek RTL8139D chipset. Good luck!
GATEWAY PCI MODEM
Gateway P/N 6001260. Pull from an old system that I wound up rebuilding rather significantly.
ATI Mach32 PCI VIDEO CARD
Looks like somebody took off the top of the bracket with shears or something -- it's a real clean cut. No clue if this works, or where it came from, or how I got ahold of it. You can have it if you want it.
ISA-16 IDE CONTROLLER CARD
P/N 1533-18-07-9 Model 18. Don't recall the manufacturer, and I'm too lazy to look it up right now. It can control up to two IDE devices -- but no floppy drive! So it's useless to me. I WILL TRADE THIS FOR A SIMILAR CARD WITH FLOPPY CONTROLLER BUILT IN.
iOMEGA ZIP 100MB DRIVE
Internal, with a beige bezel that doesn't want to stay on. No idea if it works.
MITSUMI 5.25" FLOPPY DRIVE + CABLE
Tested, works. Pull from a really old system that has since gone to the landfill (mostly because I stripped it of everything useful...)
This item is very much known good, although I'd advise you to not change the jumper settings on the drive.
OLD RAM STICKS, $2 EACH OR ALL FOR $8 (+ SHIPPING)
All information and quantities available are as follows:
UNKNOWN 72pin SIMM -- QTY:2
UNKNOWN SDRAM, P/N 580922 -- QTY:1
Hyundai HYM7V64200 SDRAM -- QTY:1
UNKNOWN SDRAM, P/N MT16LSDT464AG-66CL2 -- QTY:1
IBM 64MB SODIMM, P/N 13T8644HPD-10T -- QTY:2

ITEMS I'M LOOKING FOR

  • A Mini-ITX Atom-based board with matching RAM.
  • A Lian Li PC-Q07 Mini-ITX Computer Case (red or black, please, not silver)
  • A 40GB or 60GB IDE hard drive.
  • A copy of XP Home -- need disc unless it's the upgrade-from-Win98 version, will pay up to $15 shipped.
  • A decent digital camera (8+ MP), with battery and charger. Must work with SD cards.
  • Beige, gray, or white PS/2 optical mouse.
  • Other odds, ends, fiddly bits, and interesting nuggets of technology. I'm a gadget nut -- ask me!

Also looking for: (long shot but you never know...) a small, single-cylinder engine for a project of mine. I don't care about size or whether it runs on the first pull or the forty-first, but it has to be four-stroke, and it must have proper compression in the cylinder. Air-cooled is a bonus (do they even *make* water-cooled engines that small?!) Willing to spend up to $50 including shipping. PM me your offer.

BUMP buy my stuff plz BUMP

EDIT: wow.. . this thread's been at the top of the FS/T forum for 10min straight. Either there's something wrong with a server somewhere, or it's a really slow day today. My bet's on the former :D a first for me, either way.

Long-overdue bump.

Thanksgiving was spent in the hospital (I'm not talking about it). I'm at home in Siler City, where the Internet sucks, and half my inventory is gone (most of the good stuff, to boot).

Grrr. Aargh.

BUMP with new stuff -- trying something a little different. Check out the new JUNKYARD section :D It's for the stuff even I think is crap!

My Internet sucks.
Your Internet rocks.
Send me some money...
And I'll ship you a box.

BUMP.

Wastin' away in corrupted-data-land

Some people claim
That there's a virus to blame
But I know
It's my own d*mn fault
