I've been poking around too, I found a case that would let this work as an htpc...
Not fancy... at all... but I have two E5606 CPUs (quad core, no HT, but 12MB cache, AES-NI and much lower power consumption than TDP would indicate) lying around: See: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1613429
