Hey guys,

I'm selling my i7 920 to make way for a new i7 970. Mostly I do video encoding on my home rig so I'm hoping the extra cores help.

I'm the first owner, purchased it in 2009 when the very first D0 revisions came out. Batch number is 3849A916. It is lapped so there is no warranty, though I'm not sure that matters because its been almost three years since it was purchased.

I've run it at 21x200 4.2ghz 1.28v with power saving features enabled for its entire lifetime with no issues at all. At idle, it runs at 12x200 1.056v. It also has a very good memory controller, as it can handle 1600mhz memory with only 1.25ish VTT and 2000mhz memory with as little as 1.35v depending on the sticks and timings. I've kept it cooled under a TRUE120 push/pull setup. I'm certain this chip can do 4.4-4.5 if you have the right cooling setup.

A little taste...note that the load voltage is reflected in the everest side panel (1.272v) and not TURBOV

Best cpu I've ever owned, hands down.

$150 shipped to lower 48. Amazon payments only. Heat under jsampiet

Nice...Wish my chip did that. Wouldn't trade + cash for a 920 C0/C1 that does 3.8 GHz, would you? :D

Just did the same upgrade except I had a w3520. It actually ran the same clocks and voltages also. Believe me, you will notice a difference in everything with the 970 :)
