While this has been fun I find myself missing my 980X for daily use. Primarily interested in a trade towards another 980X but will sell outright for $400. US if no offers come in.

Can't do those kind of clocks without it. On a Biostar mb it could do it at 1.55 vcore...the AsRock mb won't boot without more. Chip was on water at the time. :)

Nice chip bump. i would grab it but i am happy with my core i7 870 4ghz.

I don't use such benchmarks but here is another validation when I was running some SuperPI 32M on another mb...

Is 56 multi the highest it will do? What about additional baseclock increases@56 ? I'm looking for another 5.7+ chip, definitely interested. Possible 990X for trade if interested.

Temps are nothing with these chips when used with cold water or a Boreas TEC as I do.

56X is about the limit I have found so far with the mb's I have available. It ran a Unigine Heaven v2.5 at this clock just before the validation.

Also for those that wanted to see HT enabled, a quick slop run of A3 worth 5 points on the Bot without even trying...

I would run Linx with the newest LinPack (w/ AVX), I was stable at 5.2 w/o AVX and 4.8 w/ AVX

Change of plans - Made a trade with a 580 Fermi for a 980X and sold my other two 2600K's today, so I will be keeping this chip a bit longer now. Thanks for looking!
