i am selling the above mentioned controller. it is about 3 years old and runs perfectly.
this is a true hardware raid controller with its own cpu and ram. i added a silent 40mm fan to keep it extra cool.
i will also provide all the cables (3x fan-out cables for 4 SATA drives each, 6x molex-to-2x sata power adapters) and documentation (quick start guide and driver disk)
specs are:
-PCIe x8 interface
-intel IOP333 i/o processor
-256mb ecc onboard cache
-up to 12 drives
-supports RAID 0/1/5/6/10/50/JBOD
when it was new, this thing cost $549
asking price ist $390
