does either of those support the future 16 core chip?

Vaulter: The BD chips require a BIOS flash but both are HT 3.0 boards.

Hey sorry, was traveling and haven't been on here.

The Tyan boards are available. However four of my eight 6166 HE's have been sold. Will get back to your PM.

Added the two Opteron 4100 series CPUs and the quad 6166 HE setup if someone is really interested.

The 2P 6164 HE does ~95-100k on 6900/ 6901 and ~140-150k on 6904's. Power consumption of the setup is in the 215-230w range.
The 4P 6166 HE does ~250-270k on 6900/ 6901 and ~390-400k on 6904's. Power consumption of the setup is in the 430w range.

Note the above are with 1333MHz CL9 ECC DDR3 UDIMMs and are not super well optimized.

just to be clear - what is left & what fits together?
these type of pc's are new to me but keen to get one and have some fun.
what parts would i require to make a complete boxen?
postage to the land of oz ? :)

So with a G34 platform like the 2P (w/ 6164) and 4P (w/ 6166) you get the motherboard CPUs and heatsinks. You also need 4 DIMMs for each CPU so 8 DIMMs for the 2P 16 DIMMs for the 4P. Memory needs to be DDR3 unbuffered and either ECC or non-ECC. The faster the better but you want at minimum 1333MHz C9.

Aside from the memory, you need two Ethernet cables (one for remote management and one for normal data) a hard drive of some sort and a SATA cable. I can throw a SATA cable in for anyone that purchases either combo. You do not need a monitor/ keyboard/ mouse/ DVD drive as you can just access the IPMI 2.0 interface from the KVM-over-IP feature and do everything from a web browser including changing BIOS settings and mounting ISOs (for linux/ Windows) over the network from the host PC/ Mac.

Postage to OZ is not included, but I could find out if super interested. My guess is expensive, but I know the CPUs sell for $800+ each and the motherboards are also super expensive in the oz so shipping is still probably inexpensive.

I have 3 empty LGA1366 sockets at the moment but am divesting from that architecture (I think.) May put up some of the memory and stuff soon.

jebo: let me know if the priority mail package does not arrive by tomorrow. I'll see if I can get a friend to stop by my place and find the slip.

Lowered the bundled 4P G34 pricing, added noctua cooler option and option for quad Opteron 6174 CPUs.

holly crap ...i wish VJ would send me $3k so i can grab these puppies ....

Added the GTS 450's.

Feel free to make offers on stuff even if not listed as a bundle.

Opteron 6166 HE's sold on ebay... no payment yet but probably means they are gone so taking them off.

6174's look like they will be taken advantage of by someone here and have been moved to pending.

Added 2x GTX 470s with waterblocks.

6174's, 4x Dynatron A1's, 16x 1gb ECC DDR3 sold.

Still have motherboards left.

I see. So you're selling them separately for that price?
