I'd love to see someone use them for the [H]orde. :D That's why I'd rather sell here than fleaBay, if I can.

Bump. Looked up the warranty on the second one, its expired. Looks like it was bought about 6 months before the first one (which was bought 8/2001).

"4x Compaq Proliant 1850 3U Rack-mount servers

Dual PIII 400mhz CPUs
128mb Ram
4x 4.3gig hot-swap drives
Cdrom/floppy
Dual hot-swap redunadant PSUs
Integrated ethernet/video and SCSI controller

These are also new in their Compaq shipping boxes, never used. All include full rack rail kits. I have some 9.1gig drives I could put in instead of the 4.3gig for a bit extra, but not enough to populate all 4!"

Intrested in one..... Do they need a rack or can they run on a floor...I'm pretty ignorant about Rackmounted stuff.

Do they come with 2 cpus or are they just dual capable?
Arn't Pentiums rated at 400mhz only P2s?

You're right, they are indeed PII's (though they can accept PIIIs) . . . . thanks for catching my mistake. And they do come with dual CPUs installed.

You can run them on the floor or whatever, you don't need a rack. They're the same as any other system, except that if you want to you can stack a whole lot of them in a small space. I had a couple sitting next to my desk for a while, heh.
