Unknown, which is why its being sold for parts.

The RAM has been sold, the HDD has been sold.

The screen works, the DVD Burner works, the battery is meh - lasted 40 minutes when my sister had it, the keyboard works, touchpad, etc.

I can't test the CPU's condition, as I don't have another board to test it on. That could possibly be the issue, but I don't know. Its next stop will be eBay though.

The issue with it was, the lights on the machine wouldn't come on even when the charger was in. So it could be as simple as being a power issue that I wasn't able to find out with my multimeter.
 
I know, right? Somewhere around here, I've got a deathshot from that thing when I was software overclocking it & the video went crazy. Everything works on it though.
 
What do you want to know about it? It has a standard IDE interface (standard desktop sized).


The DVD Burner from the Sony PCG laptop has an IDE port that looks like this:

I gots a lappy needs one of those... how much for shipping to 27612-8068? Also, is it still free if I only buy that one thing?
 
The DVD Burner? No, those are like $50 new (if you can find the right one), I'll let it go for $30 shipped

Now the CD drive is free - its interface connector is a standard, desktop IDE adapter. unless your laptop is really old (or if you want to use it on a mini desktop) it won't work with that same connector displayed above. Shipping on that would be like $4? If its 13 oz or less it will go First Class for >$3

If I had a ROM drive, I'd let it go for free, but I can actually use / sell the burner. Sorry for the confusion in the post above, I tried to distinguish the two as best I could.
 
Its cool - I think everyone is confused by my thread's "organization". I might take pictures of everything tomorrow & re-do everything from scratch.
