Thought I'd give y'all folks here a first stab at this before posting it to the main FS/FT forums.

I have a Sun Fire X4600 M2 server with 8x Opteron 8356's, 128GB DDR2, 2x146GB SAS drives and 2x500GB SATA drives that I'm selling on account of having to pay for RAM and CPUs for the first machine in my sig. Looking for $450 shipped, or will also trade for 256GB of DDR2 ECC in the form of 64x4GB or 128x2GB.

Ranges from tolerable to pretty ass depending on the load and the weather (really, the ambient temps determine a lot). Definitely would fair better in the basement than in your room; its currently sitting in a EE shop and is somewhat noticeable.
 
Apartment life means my datacenter is also my bedroom. GLWS.

Do you have any pictures? How much power does it draw running full load on all 32 cores? Also, what kind of PPD are you seeing on BigAdv WUs?
